Kerastase Spray à Porter

My number one salt spray (and I’ve tried a LOT of them) and my number one sale recommendation overall. It smells totally delicious, the spray nozzle produces a fine mist for even distribution and it gives limp hair loads of texture without making it crispy. This is my holy grail hair product.

ghd Curl Hold Spray

I love a good multi-tasker and this stuff does the trick of protecting your hair from the heat of your styling tool while adding hold and shine to your curls. You use it on dry hair (I spray it onto each section right before I curl it) and it sets the curl so you don’t have to follow up with hairspray. The ghd Heat Protect Spray is also fab if you’re just straightening or blow-drying your hair.

Moroccanoil Light Oil Treatment

The ultimate strand smoother, this version of the best-selling and best-smelling oil treatment is especially formulated for fine hair so it doesn’t weigh it down or make it look greasy. The versatile, nourishing and residue-free formula can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool and is great for banishing frizz.

Nioxin Diaboost

I’ve been wanting to try this ever since seeing Leigh from Lipgloss is my Life review it and give it a thumbs up. It’s extremely rare that thickening treatments for fine hair actually work (I rely more on styling products to give my hair body and texture) but apparently this stuff is totally legit and plumps up individual strands, while improving your hair’s strength and resilience.

Redken Pillow Proof Express Primer

This is another product on our wishlist; the Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer by Redken is designed to reduce blow drying time and protect hair from breakage and heat. It’s getting rave reviews (check out Beautezine’s glowing recommendation) and would be ideal for those of you who blow dry your hair regularly or have fine hair that tends to lose body and movement after a few hours.

ghd Wonderland Styler

This sexy little straightener from last year’s Christmas collection for ghd has a special teal-purple duochrome finish but otherwise is identical to the ghd V. Each styler is packed with handy features such as an extra long cord to allow for flexible styling, automatic sleep mode after 30 minutes without use and universal voltage. The gift set is completed with two sectioning clips and a co-ordinating styler bag that unzips to become a heat-resistant mat – perfect for using at home or when travelling.

Invisibobble

A very recent discovery of mine and a total game changer. I’m a fan of a good, tight ponytail or bun but that often leaves me with an awful headache. The Invisibobble gives the secure grip that I’m looking for but without putting pressure on my scalp – it’s genius. It comes in loads of colours and can be used in ANY hair type, plus it’s “traceless” so you don’t get that telltale dent in your hair from where the band has been (here’s the product science if you’re interested). Small but nifty.

Tangle Teezer Elite

If you have fine hair that likes to tie itself up in knots, or you have a sensitive scalp like me (brushing my hair with a normal brush is so painful that it makes me want to cry), then you need a Tangle Teezer in your life. It somehow manages to glide easily through wet or dry hair without catching or snagging EVER, and is also a great dressing tool for brushing out curls to make them look more natural. I’ve had one for years and often give it to others as a gift – I can’t live without it.

Great recommendations. I have almost everything on the list! Love the invisiboblles. I have the Kerastase Spray a Porter but I am disappointed. It does not really give my hair texture even though it smells gorgeous. I don’t know if I am using it incorrectly. I have a tangle teezer and have ordered at the discount price for my sister and two nieces – each their own one. Bought myself the Wonderland GhD styler last year and very impressed with it. And I use the GhD curl spray with it. I have read the Paul Mitchell Hot off the press is also very good. Love the Moroccanoil light treatment and ordered the 50ml for upcomming travels. And now after seeing your list I just might have to cave and order the Nioxin Diaboost…

I don’t know if this helps but what I do is spray a fairly generous amount of the Kerastase Spray a Porter all over my lengths and then brush it through so it’s evenly distributed and that seems to do the trick. I’m not shy with it – I use loads!
